A Message From The HousingDepartment:

Spraying and neutering pets in our communities can have several important benefits:
We are excited to announce the formation of our new Tribal Council, a dedicated group of individuals committed to serving our community and upholding our traditions. This council embodies our shared values, vision, and the spirit of collaboration that defines our tribe.
Councilman Clyde Dave Jr, Councilman Christie La Paz Jr, Councilwoman Krystal Enjady, and Councilwoman Dorlynn Simmons have been chosen for their leadership skills, community involvement, and deep understanding of our cultural heritage. Together, they will work to address the needs of our community, promote our interests, and ensure that our voices are heard at every level.
The Tribal Administration would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Councilman Aguilar, Councilwoman Blaylock, and Councilwoman Platta. Your tireless efforts, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting impact on our tribe and have helped to shape a brighter future for all of us.
Your unwavering dedication to serving our community, advocating for our rights, and promoting our cultural heritage have not gone unnoticed. Your hard work, passion, and vision have inspired us all and have a laid a strong foundation for us to build upon.
As you transition out of your roles, please know that your contributions have made a significant difference and have left a lasting legacy. We are grateful for your services and dedication, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Thank you for your commitment, hard work, and leadership.
Due to the severe snowstorm currently affecting our area, we strongly discourage all non- essential travel on highways and local roads. Conditions are hazardous, with reduced visibility and slippery surfaces posing significant risks to drivers. Highway 70 going towards Alamogordo and the Ruidoso area’s are snowpacked and icy road conditions. TRAVEL IS HIGHLY DISCOURAGED.
This is a friendly reminder about the upcoming Free Spray and Neuter Clinic happening in our community tomorrow Friday (01-10-25) starting at 7:30 am and the last intake is at 2:30pm. PLEASE NO FOOD FOR THE DOGS/CATS AFTER MIDNIGHT. This clinic is an excellent opportunity for pet owners to help reduce the number of unwanted animals and promote responsible pet owners. Services will be provided at no cost, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this initiative. Please ensure that your pets are in a leash or in a carrier.
