Otero County Electric Cooperative Inc. project hearing notice
A public hearing will be held on Tuesday August 29 4:30 – 6:30 pm at the West Conference Room in the Tribal Administrative offices at which time the proposed replacement of the electrical power system in Tularosa Canyon behind the St. Joseph’s Catholic Mission will be presented. Enrolled Tribal members who are reside in the Tularosa Canyon are invited to attend the hearing, which will describe the proposed replacement of electrical poles, lines and transformers in that area. The purpose of the project is to improve system reliability and resilience and to reduce the danger of potential wildfires.
Damien Morgan (Project Coordinator), Chris Little (MAT Utility Department Director), Nelva Cervantes (Tribal General Counsel) and several representatives from the Otero County Electric Cooperative in Cloudcroft will be present to describe the proposed project and to answer questions from participants.
