In a proactive move to assess ongoing projects, Mescalero Emergency Operations Manager Thomas LaPaz and Park and Recreation Director Joe Morgan conducted a guided tour yesterday of the Silver Lake Campgrounds and the newly constructed Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Joining them were Councilman Carson Carrillo III, Councilman Robert Rice, Councilman Clyde Davis, Councilwoman Idella Star, and Councilwoman Tanis Torres, who collectively explored the developments in their community.
Currently open to the public, the Silver Lake Campgrounds is gearing up for a fruitful fishing season. Officials announced plans to stock the lake with fish in the near future, promising an exciting opportunity for local anglers and families seeking outdoor recreation.
