Directors will be delivering payroll checks May 29, 2020 to their staff at their home. If employees are on duty May 29th, those employees will receive their checks on duty/at work.

Applicants must:

• Have been operating on or before March 19, 2020 within the exterior boundaries of the Mescalero Apache Indian Reservation;
• Be in good standing with the Mescalero Apache Tribe;
• Be able to demonstrate at least a 25% loss in revenue or complete closure to the public for at last five (5) consecutive days that can be attributed to COVID-19;
• Operate for profit; and
• Meet the definition of Small Business as established by Tribal law.

Tribal Court will be OPEN for people in need to bond out.

Monday – Friday 10am to 2pm (during lobby hours)

Due to short staffing these are the ONLY times family members can bond out individuals.

Also, probation individuals can check in on June 8th.

Please remember to follow Executive Order 20-05 by having one person per vehicle!

Since masks are cloth, they are reusable, washable and you can customize them yourself. There will be cloth masks for children also.

Attention Tribal Members who work off the reservation or have medical appointments during 2 week lockdown

Thursday, May 28th 830AM – NOON

Bring proof of shift from your employer if you are working off the reservation or bring proof of medical appointment to the TRIBAL OFFICES.

Proof should be in the form of a letter with your name, date and time.

Remember, Tribal Offices are closed to the public so Tribal security will walk-in your letter. Practice social distancing by staying 6 feet apart and wearing a face mask while waiting for your letter.

**THIS IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO CONTINUE TO WORK OFF THE RESERVATION OR HAVE MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS OFF THE RESERVATION DURING THE 2 WEEK RESERVATION LOCKDOWN.**

In regards to Mescalero Apache Tribe’s Violence against Women Program’s operation during the next two weeks:

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic our services will be limited, we will continue to transport under emergency situations, ensuring that we are taking all safety precautions. 

I will be in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays, both Kerianna Barcus, DV Advocate, and I will be on call 24/7.   Our on call phone number have been send to Law Enforcement, Fire ‘n Rescue and Conservation Department.

At this time, we encourage all community members to adhere to Executive Order 20-05 “Reservation LockDown”.  This is for everyone’s safety.   If domestic violence should occur during this lockdown, we ask that you call Law Enforcement and if our assistance is needed PD will call us.
