The Mescalero Roads and Utilities Department is eager to hear your thoughts on the upcoming US Highway 70 wildlife crossing project! We want to ensure that both the drivers and wildlife habitats are considered in our planning and improvements.

We want to keep everyone informed about the recent San Carlos 64 fire, which has affected an area of 2.75 acres. The good news is that the fire is now contained, and firefighters are currently mopping up and monitoring the situation. All roads are open back in Palmer Loop, but we urge everyone to exercise caution as fire crews are still active in the area.
We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible fire crews working tirelessly on the San Carlos 64 fire. Your dedication, bravery, and had work to protect our community are truly commendable. Stay safe and thank you for your service!
