This past week was incredible for our community! President Thora Walsh-Padilla participated in a meaningful Watershed Workshop alongside representatives from the Village of Ruidoso, Ruidoso Downs, Lincoln County, the Forest Service, and DHSEM. This educational event helped us all understand how our local environment functions, particularly how rainfall and runoff from our areas flow into our rivers and lakes.
Additionally, our Emergency Operations Center proudly hosted the New Mexico Emergency Management Symposium & Expo at the Inn of the Mountain Gods. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with Emergency Management and Department of Homeland Security professionals from across the state, sharing insights and best practices for keeping our communities safe.
