This morning, our tribal president Thora Walsh-Padilla had the opportunity to share exciting updates on KWES 93.5, connecting with our neighbors in Ruidoso and Alamogordo. During the broadcast, she discussed future projects aimed at enhancing our community and fostering collaboration among all of us. As we gather in the heart of these beautiful mountains, we want to take a moment to highlight the importance of partnership in our efforts to protect and enrich our coummunity. Together, we can achieve so much-weather it’s through sustainable forest management, building homes for our people, or promoting tourism and local businesses like our sawmill. Working hand-in-hand, we can create a thriving environment for everyone.
Additionally, mark your calendars for the public scoping session regarding the wildlife corridor on US Highway 70, scheduled for May 21, 2025 at 6:30pm. Your voice matters, and we encourage everyone to participate in the discussion about preserving our natural resources.
We also want to remind you about some exciting events happening in our community! Join us for the Inn Of The Mountain Gods Blessing Feast taking place today and tomorrow at the Hunt Lodge. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate our culture, and enjoy some delicious food. The Blessing Feast is open to the public.
Let’s continue to work together toward our common goals and strengthen our community bonds. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
