Spraying and Neutering Pets:

January 10, 2025 by Mescalero Apache Tribe

Spraying and neutering pets in our communities can have several important benefits:

  1. Population Control: These procedures help manage the pet population, reducing the numbers of unwanted pets.
  2. Health Benefits: Spraying (for females)and neutering (males) can reduce the risk of certain health issues, such as cancers and infections.
  3. Behavioral Improvements: Neutered males are often less aggressive and less likely to roam, while unwanted behaviors that can lead to conflicts with neighbors or issues within the community Overall, spraying and neutering pets can contribute to healthier pets, safer communities, and more sustainable environment for both animals and people. We appreciate those that have traveled far to volunteer from the states of Washington State and as far as New Hampshire and as well as our Conservation Officers as well.
