Per Executive Stay at Home Order 20-14, Social Services offices will be closed and staff will be providing services remotely from November 10, 2020 through November 22, 2020.
The Mescalero Social Services staff can be reached between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. at the following mobile numbers:
Child Assistance Stimulus payments being held for Custody/Guardianship through Children’s Court will be distributed on November 24th from 10 am to 4 pm in the Community Center Gym.
Child Assistance Stimulus payments under control of the Mescalero Social Services will be distributed on November 24th at the Social Services office.
Due to the legality of the payments, these checks will not be placed in the mail. If there are any questions, please contact the offices directly.
During the two-week lockdown, which begins at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 09, 2020 thru 6:00 AM Monday, November 23, 2020. The Call Center will be the point of contact for community members should there be a need for emergency assistance. They will be available every day throughout the two weeks, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
The CHR program is presently housed at the Elderly Center. They will be on call until 7:00 PM for medication pickup and/or rides to the hospital for non-COVID patients. A pass can be issued to leave your home for a doctor’s appointment. This can be requested through and picked up from Ben Martinez at the Tribal Offices.

Wood for elders who are 60 years and older is also available. This will be on a first call first serve basis. We are asking that only those elders who are in need of wood contact our office at:
At the time the wood is being delivered to your home, if the driver sees that there is wood at your home, the wood will not be dropped off. Those elders who are out of wood, and request delivery, will take priority. Only one row of wood will be delivered.
Mark your calendar, on November 24, 2020 the Elderly Program will be giving out a turkey to elders who are 60 years and older. Distribution will begin at 1:00 PM.

Mescalero Tribal Court
As part of the Mescalero Tribal Court’s continued efforts to slow the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Tribal Court has implemented a number of public health measures in an effort to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus and provide the greatest protection possible to those who work at and have business in our Court.
Pursuant to Executive Order 20-14 and the two-week lockdown of the Mescalero Reservation, the Tribal Court will be closed beginning Monday, November 9, 2020 at 4:00pm and will re-open on Monday, November 23 at 9:00am.
The Court will reschedule any civil matter and any criminal matter currently scheduled for the period covered by the lockdown order, and will provide the dates and times of such rescheduled hearings at a later date.
Due to the lockdown and the closure of the Tribal Court, any individual incarcerated during the period November 6, 2020 through November 23, 2020, regardless of the location of the prison, jail or detention center, shall, at a minimum, remain incarcerated during that period as the Tribal Court shall not hear any arraignments, pre-trial hearings or any matters, civil or criminal, until November 23 or later date.
