The Mescalero Apache Tribal Accounting handles various financial functions for the Tribe. The department is responsible for processing and recording complete, accurate and timely financial information for use with reporting, management, and decision making.

The Accounting Department is responsible for:

— Accounts payable

— Accounts receivable

= Financial Hardship

= Fort Bliss Utility Loan Program

— Grants management and 638 contracts

— Financial reporting

— Audited financial statements

— Administrating Payroll

— Processing and distribution of per capita payments

— Elderly Assistance Program

Organizational Structure

In accordance with the Mescalero Tribal organizational structure, the Tribal Accounting Department is under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer who reports to the Tribal Administrator/Chief of Staff.
