Flash flooding potential is elevated in and near the Salt and South Fork burn scar areas. Burn scars are especially vulnerable because rainfall can quickly run off the landscape, leading to dangerous flash flooding, debris flows, and rapidly rising water.

Please stay weather aware:

• Avoid driving through flooded roadways — Turn Around, Don’t Drown.
• Be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.
• Monitor local weather updates and emergency alerts.
• If you live, work, or are traveling near the burn scar areas, have a plan to move to higher ground if flooding develops.
