Today, we proudly opened the doors to the new FFA Greenhouse at Mescalero Apache School! This initiative is more than just a greenhouse; it symbolizes our commitment to agricultural education and the future of our students.
Under the guidance of High School teacher Mrs. Alice Velasquez, students will learn how to grow healthy, nutritious foods and explore exciting horticulture careers. This greenhouse will serve as a valuable resource for generations to come, promoting sustainability and innovation.
We were honored to have President Thora Walsh-Padilla, Vice President Duane Duffy, Councilman Christie La Paz Jr, Councilwoman Dorlynn Simmons, and Representative Harlan Vincent join us for this momentous occasion. A special thank you to Mr. Vincent for his instrumental role in securing legislative funding and innovative grants that made this dream a reality.
Kudos to the Mescalero FFA Program for their hard work and dedication! Together, we’re cultivating a brighter future!
