UNM American Indian Student Services accepting applications for our American Indian Summer Bridge (AISB)! Attached are documents that we encourage you to share with your High School seniors, especially if they are planning to attend The University of New Mexico-Main Campus in Fall 2025. AISB is a summer residential program that provides students with support as they transition into university life and it’s a great way to establish a competitive GPA, enhance student writing skills, and make new friends! There are two AISB sessions available: Session 1 from June 4-20 and Session 2 from July 9-25.
Students are eligible to apply if they are:
· An incoming, first semester freshman at UNM-Main Campus for Fall 25’
· Enrolled in a Federally Recognized Tribe
· Completed a 2025-2026 FAFSA
· Registered for New Student Orientation by May 14, 2025

A benefit that we’d like to highlight is that students accepted into the program will have their New Student Orientation (NSO) fees covered!
· If signed up for AISB Session 1 – they will have their NSO session on
June 5-6
· If signed up for AISB Session 2 – they will have their NSO session on
July 10-11
· NSO sessions fill up FAST and attending an earlier session provides students with greater class registration option

More information regarding AISB & additional eligibility requirements can be found at AISB.UNM.EDU! The application deadline of Friday, May 9, is quickly approaching, so encourage your students to apply today! If you, parents, and/or students have further questions regarding our 2025 American Indian Summer Bridge, please reach out to the AISB Coordinators at 505.277.6343 or aisb@unm.edu.
