“The current global crisis has shown us how critical it is that there be an accurate count of Alaska Natives and American Indians. In the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Indian Country lost hundreds of millions of dollars in funding because of the undercount in the 2010 Census.
