Representatives from the Mescalero Apache Tribe and BOLDplanning Inc. will be meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:00 am in the South Hall Meeting Room of the Tribal Office in Mescalero, New Mexico. This meeting will kick-off the development of the Mescalero Apache Tribe’s Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan will identify natural hazard vulnerabilities on the Mescalero Apache Reservation, as well as outline mitigation strategies to address these vulnerabilities. The plan will also comply with Federal regulations, so the Tribe may access potential funding opportunities to implement these strategies. The public is encouraged to attend and ask questions, provide input, and express any concerns they may have. If you have any questions, please contact Thora Padilla, Director, Division of Resource Management and Protection at (575) 464-4711.
